A Seminar on Science and Philosophy of Healing is to be held
at Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad on October 1 & 2, 2005, under the joint auspices of Gujarat Vidyapith, Gandhi Peace Foundation and Universal Healing Charitable Trust. The seminar assumes a great topical significance as this year has been declared as International year of Physics by United Nations. Speakers at the Seminar Dr. B.M. Hegde, an internationally renowned Charismatic Physician of India, is to speak on, Whole Man Healing Richard Smith of UK is a physician who had been the editor of BMJ for quarter of a Century and one of the best that journal ever had; a great orator, an excellent human being, a great editor and above all a good scientist. The title of his talk: Doctors: the journey from commanders to partners and healers EC George Sudarshan is a Physicist in the USA, who has been nominated to the Nobel several times. A great quantum physicist, he is an equally great scholar of Indian Wisdom and a great orator. His book, DOUBTS AND CERTAINTY, is a boon to the lay public. His subject of talk: Quantum Physics and Modern Medicine Dr. R. M. Varma could be rightly called one of the founder fathers of Neurosurgery in India. He is very well read in the Indian philosophy. He has built the wonderful NIMHANS in Bangalore almost single handedly and even now operates to keep people alive with brain problems. He will talk on: Right and Left brain in relation to healing Prof. Selva Murthy, A scientist, Overall Director of DIPAS and other defense laboratories: the subject of his talk: Integral Approach to Healing Dr. Naresh Trehan, a renowned Cardiac Surgeon of India of International repute: He will talk on: Role of Revascularization Surgery in Management of CAD Dr. Solomon Victor is one of India's scientific cardiac surgeons responsible for many innovations in the field. He is unique in that he is also a qualified cardiologist himself. He will talk on GOD IN HEALING.
